What I think and what I see doesn’t collate until some colors and graphics make it attractive. Using colors in marketing is basically a language. We talk to our audience with all the talking colors. Sometimes we want to educate them, sometimes we want to make them emotional. That’s how marketing works.
Colors are the first thing which communicate to customers before marketers. It’s a non-verbal communication which convey meaning and message. Psychologists says that colors are engaged with marketing and branding. They are fully associated with the emotional attachment with the brand. They also keep the recognition strong at customers end. Taking an example of Red color, it always shows the supreme, energetic and powerful in all like Olpers has used. It’s the best-selling milk in Pakistan. The red color used in this adds value to its sales. A well-proportioned color contrast like using Dark text on light background increases the readability and eye catchy look to the brand. Font Styling is also one of the thing adds value to the color of brand.

  • Yellow color is meant to be happy and cheerful, its mostly used for children brands and products because this is the color they are first attracted. So, its psychologically more attractive than other colors.
  • Orange color is used to be associated with fun and excitement. Food and appetite brands uses the variations of orange to create the feeling of hunger.
  • Red is the dynamic color which ensures power, superiority and fear. It shows aggression and strength in it. Brands like energy drinks picks this color.
  • Purple is used to be a magical color, used for something luxurious and imaginary. When-ever marketer wanted to introduce to a new mysterious world they use purple.
  • Blue is the most soothing color. It creates affection and trust towards brand. it basically use to show calm situation and to create relationships.
  • Green is environment friendly color, it’s usually associated with Go Green kind of stuff but sometimes it shows wealth. Like it’s also used for Currency worldwide.
  • Grey color is the humorous color, it reveals the level of professionalism and intelligence. Brands who are linked to technology use this color. It’s also shows decency in fashion.
  • Pink color is little sensitive, it shows un-conditional love. Brands uses pink color for sensitive brands, and lack of power. This is something opposite to color Red.
  • Black is the color of seriousness, sophistication but on the other hand it’s also use for evil, depression and even for death.
  • White is used for simplicity and peace. But it has another meaning of loneliness and isolation.
  • Golden color is associated with royalty and fame.
So, colors help consumer recognizes your brand by 80%. Choose your color carefully.
